As a Supported Lodgings and When I am Ready Coordinator, you will play a key role in helping young people take confident steps toward independence. You will support a well‑established scheme across Powys, ensuring care leavers have a safe, nurturing place to develop essential life skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hosts and carers, guiding them through assessment, training and ongoing supervision.
- Collaborate closely with each young person’s allocated worker to support them in living environments that foster independence.
- Recruit, assess and train hosts and carers, providing regular supervision and support in line with policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
- Approach challenging situations calmly and keep the needs of the young person at the heart of all decisions.
- Work independently as part of a supportive team, maintaining a positive approach to participation, equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Promote the voice of both hosts and young people within the service.
Qualifications & Experience
- Enhanced DBS Check required.
- Strong assessment skills.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of professionals.
- Flexible, proactive and adaptive to changing service needs.
- Positive approach to promoting participation, equality, diversity and inclusion.
Additional Information
Location is negotiable within Powys. The role is permanent, full‑time with 37 hours per week.
