About the role

As a Supported Employment Quality Framework Specialist in North Powys, you will deliver personalised support through the Connect to Work Mid Wales programme. You will help people with disabilities, neurodivergence, health conditions and other complex barriers identify their strengths and secure meaningful paid employment. Working with participants, employers and partner services, you will provide job coaching, support workplace adjustments and offer ongoing in-work support across rural communities.

  • A passion for helping people overcome barriers and achieve meaningful, sustainable employment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with participants, health teams and employers.
  • A person-centred, strengths-based and non-judgemental approach.
  • Strong organisation skills to manage a varied caseload, meet targets and maintain accurate records.
  • Confidence engaging employers, identifying suitable opportunities and promoting inclusive recruitment.
  • Resilience, flexibility and the ability to work independently across rural North Powys communities.

What you will do

  • Manage a caseload of participants receiving support through Connect to Work Mid Wales.
  • Work alongside local health teams to identify and engage people who want to move into employment.
  • Complete vocational profiles and develop personalised employment action plans.
  • Carry out rapid job searches and engage employers to identify suitable paid opportunities.
  • Support participants with applications, interviews, workplace adjustments and overcoming barriers.
  • Provide ongoing in-work support to help participants sustain employment
