Your responsibilities will be:

  • Works under broad direction and laid down procedures.
  • Responsible to the Headteacher or nominated representative for cleaning a given area to the required specification by the efficient use of the resources available.
  • Responsible for the day to day opening/closing and security of the premises.
  • To be an out of hours key holder for responding to emergency call outs and arranging opening and closing for contractors.
  • Responsibility for others: The post has some impact on the wellbeing of individuals or groups (i.e. physical, mental, social and health & safety).
  • Responsible for staff: The postholder has no (or limited) direct responsibility for other staff but may be expected to demonstrate tasks or advise/guide new employees, work experience or trainees.
  • Responsibility for financial resources: The post has no (or limited) direct responsibility for financial resources.
  • Responsibility for physical resources: The post has some direct responsibility for physical resources, involving the cleaning of buildings.

This position has a requirement for an Enhanced DBS Check.
