About the role: Responsibility for the planning, organisation and delivery of youth work programmes in line with the Youth Work Curriculum Statement for Wales, Extending Entitlement, The Youth Engagement and Progression Framework and The Youth Work Strategy For Wales. This ensures that young people can participate in high quality, informal learning opportunities that support their access to the 10 entitlements and enable them to have fun while progressing into training, employment, and independence as they develop into adulthood.

About you:

  • Enthusiasm and commitment to improving the lives of young people and their families
  • Ability to form positive relationships and act as a role model with children at risk of offending and committing anti-social behaviour
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to use tact and diplomacy when required

What you will do: Deliver youth work provision in designated schools including the delivery of regular, good quality information sessions. Establish good working relationships with young people, enabling effective pastoral care and the opportunity to provide information and appropriate advice and guidance. Seek, review and respond to feedback from young people to inform service development and delivery, in line with National Participation Standards.

This position has a requirement for an Enhanced DBS Check.
