About the role
The successful candidate will work as part of a team and be responsible for the administration of Council Tax & Business rates accounts in line with current legislation, ensuring all necessary action is taken to collect revenue efficiently and effectively.
About you
You will be an enthusiastic, committed team player, understanding best practice and customer contact procedures with experience in debt collection. You must be able to manage your own workload and ensure you are effective in balancing priorities. The position is highly demanding, dealing with a high workload. We are looking for someone with a professional and friendly approach to give excellent customer service to our customers.
What you will do
You will process applications for reliefs and exemptions, effectively responding to enquiries received by letter, telephone and electronically, as well as undertaking proactive work to improve collection across business rate and council tax.
Service: Finance
Salary: Grade 6 - Points 11 to 14 £28,142 to £29,540 per annum £14.58 to £15.31 per hour
