About the role
To provide a front-line service in line with Powys Council policies and procedures. Responsible for the cleaning / closing / security (as per local arrangements) of a PCC premise. To be an out of hours key holder. To provide the service by the efficient use of the labour available, to the standard laid down by the specification. To be responsible for the supervision of cleaning personnel. Promoting of the service through daily customer awareness.

What you will do
- Supervision of all cleaning employees, the allocation of duties in times of staff shortages
- Attend relative training as required and assist with on-job training of cleaning staff on site
- Cleaning floor areas by the means of vacuuming, machine polishing, machine scrubbing, wet/dry sweeping/mopping
- Cleaning furniture and work surfaces
- Cleaning toilet areas, w.c. pans, urinals, handbasins, mirrors and replenishing toilet tissue, hand towels, soap.
- Emptying and cleaning of waste / recycling bins replenishing litter bin bags and removing any waste to the refuse compound
- Removing dirty marks from walls, doors, and internal windows up to head height
- High level cleaning using extending equipment
- Maintaining stock records. Ordering, checking and correct storage of cleaning equipment and materials.
