Teaching Assistant (Level 3) Welsh Stream

27.5 hours per week (38 weeks plus pro-rata holiday entitlement) Monday to Friday

Required from 1st September 2026 Fixed Term to 31st August 2027

Builth Wells Primary is a dual-stream primary school for children aged 4-11 years. Some of our children learn primarily through the medium of Welsh and some primarily through English. Although dual-stream, we are very much one school and are proud that all our children are encouraged to identify as citizens of Wales and the wider world.

Within the school building, we have eight classrooms, four in each stream and we host an Area Learning Support Class on behalf of the Local Authority. We also have a Welsh-medium pre-school group, Cylch yn yr Ysgol, and a Ti a Fi bilingual parent and toddler group.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, kind and caring teaching assistant with high expectations of learning and behaviour, to support learning within the Welsh stream of our school. Applicants must be able to communicate in Welsh to a good standard and have the skills and qualifications necessary to fulfil the role.

Salary: Grade 5 Point 7 to Point 9 £26,403 to £27,254 per annum pro rata £13.68 to £14.12 per hour
