Each Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) offers educational provision to pupils aged 5 – 16 who are permanently excluded or at risk of exclusion from their mainstream school as well as other pupils that the LA has a statutory responsibility for such as pregnant schoolgirls.

The PRU’s core offer is to provide short term placements for pupils up to the end of Key Stage 3 with the aim of successful re‑integration back into a mainstream setting.

At Key Stage 4 the aim is to achieve accreditation to support pupils onto the next stage of their education, employment or training.

As numeracy champion you will be responsible for co‑ordinating and developing numeracy across the curriculum.
