About the role:

To assist in the provision of an efficient and effective administrative/finance support service to operational and support teams within Environmental Health Commercial and Trading Standards.

About you:

  • Competent to use Office IT packages and a working knowledge of the service area databases
  • Good administrative and numeracy skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to demonstrate good organisational skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines

What you will do:

  • To maintain and update a range of electronic/manual information systems and assist with implementation of the new Regulatory Services Database.
  • To process incoming and outgoing mail.
  • To undertake a full range of clerical duties, including word processing of correspondence, reports, policies and procedures and associated documentation.
  • To be responsible for raising of accounts for services received and dealing with any associated queries.
  • To create, maintain and archive files.
  • To input information onto the Financial Management System for ordering of goods and payment to suppliers ensuring payment is in line with standing orders and financial regulations and to undertake regular housekeeping of Financial Management Systems and deal with associated queries.
