POWWR provides advanced platforms and simple solutions for over 30energy suppliers and more than 1,400 brokers across the United Kingdom. It empowers energy suppliers and brokers to grow their businesses and create a transparent, connected journey. The company was previously known as UD Group in the United Kingdom.

We are currentlyseeking a highly organised and proactive People Coordinator to join our People team. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting recruitment, travel, meetings, People administration and the day-to-day running of our Manchester office. We’re looking for someone who loves being organised, enjoys working with people and takes pride in making sure things happen when they should. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and ambitious company and play an important role in both our People team and the experience of colleagues working from and visiting our office.

What You Will Be Doing

No two days will necessarily look the same. You’ll provide coordination and administrative support across the People team while also helping to ensure our office runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Coordinating recruitment activity, including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews and managing candidate communications.
  • Liaising with candidates and hiring managers to ensure a positive and well-organised recruitment experience.
  • Arranging business travel including flights, trains, hotels and itineraries.
  • Organising meetings, coordinating diaries and booking meeting rooms.
  • Collating meeting notes and ensuring key actions are accurately captured.
  • Maintaining action logs, diarising follow-ups and chasing agreed actions to completion.
  • Supporting new starter and onboarding activities.
  • Providing general People administration and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Supporting the organisation of internal events and employee activities.
  • Helping organise visitors and ensuring meeting spaces are prepared.
  • Supporting the general day-to-day organisation of the Manchester office.
  • Acting as a helpful and approachable point of contact for colleagues.
  • Supporting wider People projects and initiatives when required.

Qualifications and Skills

Above everything else, we’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and great with people.

You’ll need:

  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage several different priorities at the same time.
  • A proactive approach and a willingness to take ownership and get things done.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence dealing with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • The ability to follow up and chase actions in a positive but persistent way.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel.
  • The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • A flexible approach and willingness to help wherever needed.
  • Previous experience in administration, coordination, recruitment, HR/People or office support would be an advantage.

Previous HR experience isn't essential. For us, finding someone with the right attitude, organisation skills and willingness to learn is just as important. Because of the hands-on nature of the position, you will need to be based in our Manchester office Monday to Friday.
