The IT / DevOps Manager leads IT infrastructure operations, DevOps practices, and business productivity platforms across the organization. This hybrid role ensures the secure, reliable, and efficient delivery of SaaS products hosted on Microsoft Azure while overseeing internal IT services leveraging Microsoft 365, Hubspot, Atlassian and other business tools. It combines hands‑on technical depth with team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and vendor coordination.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership & People Management
- Line‑manage a centralized team of IT and DevOps engineers (UK and Brazil), including performance management, mentoring, training, and career development.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across distributed teams.
- Coordinate with development leadership to embed security, reliability, and operational practices into delivery pipelines.
- Act as the escalation point for IT and DevOps issues.
- IT Operations & Productivity Tools
- Own administration and optimization of Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams), ManageEngine, and security/compliance features.
- Manage endpoint security, patching, and device compliance policies.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and partner with GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) to implement company IT/security policies (e.g., ISO 27001).
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers (e.g., CSP, MSP, security partners).
- Serve as the primary IT/DevOps contact for cross‑department stakeholders.
- Define standards, guardrails, and reusable templates for CI/CD pipelines.
- Empower developers to build, run, and continuously improve their pipelines, with oversight to ensure security/compliance.
- Oversee observability practices (logging, metrics, tracing) and drive developer ownership of service health.
- Champion automation to improve deployment speed, reliability, and recovery.
- Security & Compliance
- Partner with GRC to ensure environments align with ISO 27001 and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Support audits, penetration tests, and incident response activities.
- Stable, secure, and cost‑efficient Azure environment with proactive monitoring.
- High availability and reliability of Microsoft 365 and internal business IT services.
- Effective line management evidenced by engagement and performance outcomes.
- Audit readiness and compliance with ISO 27001 and other security and compliance standards.
- Improved automation and DevOps maturity across the engineering organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of professional engineering experience, including 3+ years in engineering or IT management.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Proven ability to establish CI/CD standards and enable development teams to build and operate pipelines with appropriate security/compliance gates.
- Practical knowledge of observability (logging, metrics, tracing) and service health ownership.
- Track record managing endpoint security, device compliance, and asset inventory at scale.
- Experience partnering with GRC on ISO 27001 alignment, audit support, and incident response.
- People leadership across distributed teams, acting as an escalation point and collaborating closely with development leadership and external vendors.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management; ability to embed reliability, security, and operational practices into engineering workflows.
