POWWR are seeking a skilled Integration Engineer to join our UK engineering team to help deliver high-quality, customer focused integrations for POWWR’s SaaS energy marketplace platform. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, collaborating with customers and shaping integration solutions within a growing and ambitious company.

POWWR provides advanced platforms and simple solutions for over 65 energy suppliers and more than 1,400 brokers across the United States and the United Kingdom. It empowers energy suppliers and brokers to grow their businesses and create a transparent, connected journey.
What will you be doing?
- Designing, building, and maintaining custom integrations between customer systems and POWWR’s SaaS platform.
- Working closely with customers to understand technical requirements, data flows, and API capabilities.
- Developing integration components using .NET Core/C#, REST APIs, Azure Functions, messaging technologies, and related services.
- Troubleshooting and resolving integration issues across environments, ensuring reliability, performance, and observability.
- Partnering with Product Managers to break down complex integration requests into clear technical tasks and user stories in Jira, ensuring a high standard of technical detail.
- Acting as a technical advisor during backlog refinement, helping the team estimate effort and identify technical blockers early.
- Acting as a technical liaison between customers and internal engineering teams, clarifying requirements and ensuring solutions align with platform standards.
- Writing clean, maintainable, and testable code that adheres to best practices and POWWR’s coding standards.
- Contributing to automated testing, CI/CD processes, and DevOps principles as part of day-to-day delivery.
- Participating in agile ceremonies, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Documenting integration patterns, customer-specific implementations, and reusable components.
What are POWWR looking for?
- 6+ years of software engineering or integration engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in .NET Core/C#, REST API development, and cloud-based application development.
- Experience integrating external systems using REST/GraphQL APIs, message queues, webhooks, or ETL tools.
- Familiarity with Azure services such as Functions, App Services, Storage, Key Vault, and Service Bus or Kafka.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable collaborating directly with customers in a consultative, solutions-focused manner.
- Ability to produce clear technical designs, diagrams, and documentation.
Bonus skills
- Experience with event-driven architectures/messaging frameworks (Kafka, MassTransit).
- Knowledge of GraphQL, microservices, or distributed systems.
- Exposure to security best practices and ISO-aligned engineering principles.
- Experience supporting data-driven features or analytics integrations.
You’ll be highly motivated, eager to learn new skills, adept at problem solving and keen to work in a growing company. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential as you will be required to interact closely with internal and external stakeholders daily.
