We're seeking a compassionate, skilled SEN Tutor to support children and young people with special educational needs across Gillingham. This part‑time, flexible role suits someone who wants meaningful work that fits around other commitments. You'll provide tailored one‑to‑one or small‑group tuition, adapting your approach to each learner's needs — whether that's autism, ADHD, dyslexia, social and emotional difficulties, or other additional needs.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Delivering engaging, individualised tuition sessions to children/young people with SEN
  • Adapting teaching methods and resources to suit different learning styles and needs
  • Building trusted, supportive relationships with pupils to encourage progress and confidence
  • Tracking and reporting on pupil progress
  • Liaising with parents, carers, and schools as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (e.g. autism, ADHD, dyslexia, EBD, or similar)
  • A teaching qualification, SEN‑specific training, or relevant experience in a tutoring/support role
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for helping young people succeed
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Own transport is useful for moving between sessions across the Gillingham area
