Established in 1970, Powertrain has grown to become the leading provider of remanufactured transmissions and drivelines in the UK. Our field service team has expanded with us and we are looking to recruit an additional experienced Bus Engineer to join our service team. The successful candidate will be required to work at both our Willenhall National Service Centre, and also do some travelling to customers’ premises whereby they would complete the Remove & Refit of major units, such as transmissions, axles and differentials. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a stable and growing company that is recognised for looking after their employees, as well as providing further training. The position would ideally suit someone based locally to Willenhall, either from the Wolverhampton, Walsall or Dudley area.
Position Responsibilities
- Carry out field service vehicle diagnostics
- Complete all aspects of remove & refit of major units on commercial vehicles
- Accurately complete reports and actions required via our in house IT system
- Maintain a high standard / cleanliness of company vehicle and equipment
Personal Attributes
- Although specific training is available you will need previous bus mechanical experience
- Able to solve problems both methodically and intuitively
- Be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
- You will need the ability to use or learn multiple hardware and software diagnostic packages
- Excellent customer service skills
- IT literate
- PSV licence is desirable
Excellent pay & all round package
- Salaries for the above position will be by negotiation, but will most certainly reflect the importance we place on recruiting the right individual
