The Role
As a Product Manager III on the Rapid API team, you will shape product strategy for a supply‑side domain that strengthens our demand‑side business.
You will focus on the supplier capabilities, integrations, and partner experiences that improve supply quality, coverage, and efficiency across Rapid, helping demand partners access richer, more reliable inventory and create better traveler outcomes.
This role sits at the intersection of hoteliers, suppliers, connectivity partners, and Expedia Group platform teams, translating supply‑side opportunities into demand‑side growth through strong API strategy, seamless integrations, and forward‑looking product innovation.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the roadmap for supplier‑facing capabilities spanning onboarding, property setup, content, inventory, rates, availability, and related integration workflows, with a clear focus on how stronger supply‑side capabilities unlock demand‑side growth.
- Partner closely with engineering through the full product lifecycle, from discovery and API design to launch, adoption, and ongoing lifecycle management for supplier and connectivity products, with fluency across RESTful APIs, Graph QL, and evolving integration technologies.
- Develop a deep understanding of hotelier, supplier, and connectivity provider needs, using those insights to design experiences that reduce onboarding friction and improve integration success.
- Work across the end‑to‑end supplier value chain, including account setup, contracting, connectivity configuration, property creation, content management, product setup, validation, and go‑live readiness.
- Collaborate with business, commercial, onboarding, partner success, and integration teams to translate supplier and market requirements into clearly defined product priorities and sequenced delivery plans.
- Define and track success metrics such as supplier adoption, onboarding time, integration time, API quality, activation rates, and supplier satisfaction, using data to drive prioritization and iteration.
- Identify opportunities to improve supplier developer experience through better API design, tooling, documentation, self‑service capabilities, and platform consistency, including thoughtful use of AI to streamline partner workflows, surface insights, and improve operational effectiveness.
- Communicate vision, trade‑offs, and progress clearly across cross‑functional stakeholders, building alignment around the supplier strategy and the investments required to unlock scale.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B platforms, travel technology, marketplace supply, or partner‑facing products.
- Experience working on APIs, platforms, or integration products, with a strong understanding of RESTful APIs, Graph QL, evolving integration technologies, and developer experience.
- Demonstrated ability to define roadmaps, write clear requirements, and deliver iteratively with engineering and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using product, operational, and adoption metrics to drive outcomes.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical, commercial, and operational teams in distributed organizations.
- Preferred
- Experience in lodging, travel supply, connectivity, channel management, or hotel technology.
- Familiarity with supplier onboarding flows and the operational realities of hoteliers, property managers, and connectivity providers.
- Experience with Graph QL, modern API externalization patterns, and emerging technologies such as AI‑enabled product capabilities or intelligent workflow automation.
- Understanding core lodging supply domains such as property setup, content, room and rate management, availability, compliance, and go‑live validation.
- Experience participating in partner‑facing engagements such as API design reviews, onboarding reviews, QBRs, or strategic supplier discussions.
