We are looking for an enthusiastic Finance Analyst Placement Student to join our team specializing in Finance for our Power Systems business Segment in UK, Sandwich. During your placement with us you will learn how a major global organization operates, create networks from different backgrounds and cultures, and gain the tools and exposure you will need to continue your journey to becoming an expert in the industry and power your potential! This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence 29th June 2026.
Responsibilities
- Support critical finance processes – Assist in month-end and year-end closing by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses. Maintain financial records in line with company policies and accounting standards.
- Work with forecasts & Budgets – Help prepare financial forecasts, update models, validate assumptions, and maintain annual and periodic budgets. Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making.
- Analyse and improve – Compile and review financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate across teams – Work with different departments across the region, ensuring accurate and timely data submission.
- Enhance reporting tools – Help improve financial reporting templates, dashboards, and models for better visibility and efficiency.
- Learn and grow – Gain exposure to global finance processes, apply industry best practices, and build real-world skills.
Qualifications
- Currently studying towards a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; foundation in Financial Accounting & Reporting, with interest in supporting month-end activities and data analysis.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with great attention to detail; team player who can work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks to deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office; familiarity with financial systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
