We are looking for a talented Health, Safety and Environmental Technician to join our team specializing in Health and Safety for our Accelera Business in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom. This is a 12 month contract role.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs, ensuring alignment with corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture by identifying hazards, applying risk assessments, and encouraging safe behaviours across teams.
  • Assist in incident reporting, investigations, and root cause analysis to help prevent recurrence and strengthen corrective actions.
  • Contribute to HSE inspections and audit programs, helping identify gaps and supporting timely closure of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential HSE records in line with data protection and retention standards.
  • Analyze HSE data and trends to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support environmental management activities and sustainability initiatives within the site or function.
  • Lead hazard identification, environmental aspect identification and risk assessment programs to proactively identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to raise HSE awareness, support engagement initiatives, and drive an interdependent safety culture.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Strong understanding of HSE fundamentals, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety compliance practices.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and influence safe behaviours.
  • Ability to take initiative, act with urgency, and remain resilient when addressing challenges or incidents.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to learn quickly, adapt, and optimize processes.
  • Strong capability to coordinate and drive site-specific safety initiatives and HSE project work in partnership with operational and functional stakeholders.
  • Visible, credible HSE leadership through regular shop-floor engagement, promoting safe behaviours, encouraging workforce participation and reinforcing health and safety expectations.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or certificate of secondary education (or equivalent experience in line with regulatory requirements).
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent recognised HSE qualification), or demonstrable equivalent experience.
  • College or university degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Management, Sustainability, or a related field preferred.
  • Some relevant work experience or intermediate-level knowledge gained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
  • Basic understanding of HSE management systems, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting safety programs, inspections, audits, or incident reporting processes is advantageous.

Due to the operational nature and specific job duties of this role, work is required to be completed 100% in person/On-site.
