We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Network Engineer to join our Enterprise Network Services team with 8 years+ experience. This role is responsible for deploying and supporting critical network infrastructure across both internal enterprise environments and external customer-facing platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience planning and executing critical network security and infrastructure patch rollouts in fast-paced, highly regulated, and uptime-sensitive environments.

The role requires deep expertise in routing, switching, data centre networking, internet connectivity, network security, and production change management, preferably in a Financial Services Firm. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong track record of executing complex infrastructure changes with minimal risk, maintaining network resiliency, and supporting business-critical services operating in 24x7 global environments. The ability to work both independently and as a team member is essential.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Implement and support enterprise-scale network infrastructure across data centres, campus and branch environments.
  • Provide Tier-3 support and technical leadership during major incidents and escalations.
  • Develop and maintain network standards, update documentation, and engineering procedures.
  • Lead planning, testing, risk assessment, and deployment of critical security and infrastructure patches across production environments, ensuring timely rollout with zero unplanned outages.
  • Drive execution of complex, large-scale maintenance activities across global environments with minimal customer or business impact.
  • Coordinate maintenance windows, rollback plans, validation testing, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements through timely remediation of vulnerabilities.
  • Partner with Security, Infrastructure, Application, and Operations teams to prioritize remediation activities and maintain resilient business services.
  • Coordinate end-to-end remediation activities including maintenance windows and pre/post validations across multiple stakeholders, including business application owners, multiple infrastructure teams (Unix, Load Balancer, Firewall etc), security teams, and all relevant third-party vendors (Cisco/Arista etc).
  • Maintain high availability and resilience of business-critical services while improving network reliability and security posture.
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify risks before they impact production.
  • Develop automation solutions using Python, Ansible, or similar tools to improve operational and deployment efficiency.
  • Standardize deployment procedures and reduce manual intervention through automation to lower operational risk.
  • Drive operational excellence through continuous process improvement and infrastructure optimization.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Leaf-Spine Architectures across Cisco and Arista Platforms.
  • Ethernet technologies: STP, 802.1Q, VPC, Multilayer Switching.
  • IP Routing protocols: RIP, OSPF, BGP, MPBGP, TCP/IP.
  • VxLAN.
  • Platform knowledge on Cisco Switching & Routing Platforms.
  • Platform Knowledge on Arista Switching platforms.
  • Wireshark, Infoblox, HPNA, Splunk, Sevone is a plus.
  • Good to have some cloud and wireless knowledge.
  • Familiarity with JIRA for project and task management, specifically work in Agile.
  • Ansible, Python, Terraform, Github.
  • At least 8 + years’ relevant experience.
  • Proven experience executing critical security patching and production network upgrades in large-scale environments - global data centres and branch sites.
  • Experience operating in financial services, trading, telecommunications, cloud, or other mission-critical environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex maintenance and migration activities during scheduled change windows.
  • Strong understanding of network resiliency, high availability, and disaster recovery principles.
  • Willingness to support weekend implementations, emergency changes, and critical incident response when required.
  • Preferred CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent industry certifications.
  • Preferred knowledge of network automation frameworks.
