The team
As a native engineer in the Product Experience team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our high-availability, high-transactional Property Detail Pages on the app. You will be part of a multi-functional team of Product Managers, TPMs, Engineering Managers, and Software Engineers based in Gurgaon, Bangalore, and London. We prioritise building high-quality software with a focus on availability, performance, scalability, and system resiliency. Our London team is looking for curious, empathetic, and creative problem solvers with a growth mindset. We value our team culture and work together from the office three times a week.
In this role, you will:
- Design, build, and maintain advanced Android applications with a focus on scalable architecture and robust performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality mobile experiences across multiple domains.
- Develop and refine APIs, system designs, and data models to enable seamless integration and optimal user experience.
- Drive adoption of AI/ML-enabled solutions, ensuring safety, privacy, and improved outcomes for our products.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers, fostering continuous improvement and best practices.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies, tools, and frameworks to advance the Android platform and support evolving business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience.
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven experience designing, developing, and supporting Android applications at scale.
- Deep understanding of Android system architecture, API design, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in architecting, deploying, and operating complex Android applications at organizational scale.
- Experience leading technical initiatives and establishing best practices for mobile development.
- Demonstrated ability to design and integrate AI/ML-enabled features into mobile applications.
- Strong track record of optimizing performance, reliability, and security in Android environments.
- Experience with full-stack or cross-domain technical problem solving within large-scale, production systems.
