We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to define and execute an ambitious strategy to expand Contentful into adjacent marketer and agency workflows through AI-powered solutions. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial product leader with a proven track record of building and launching new products that drive measurable commercial impact. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, intelligent automation, and new revenue creation.

In close collaboration with product leadership, you will identify and prioritize high-potential adjacent opportunity spaces, deeply understand emerging buyer and user needs, and translate them into differentiated, monetizable products that automate and scale marketing transformation and execution work.

You will be responsible for exploring and validating new ideas across a portfolio of opportunities, making disciplined prioritization decisions, and driving selected initiatives from discovery through launch and revenue creation, owning outcomes end-to-end. This is your opportunity to shape and scale a new product line at Contentful and help position us as a leader in AI-driven marketing solutions.

What to expect?

  • Define and continuously evolve a clear opportunity map for adjacent marketer and agency workflows, identifying where Contentful can create durable, monetizable value.
  • Conduct market research and collaborate with customers to capture requirements, gather feedback, and continuously refine the product vision.
  • Influence how Contentful evolves to be a thought leader in how marketing teams should leverage AI.
  • Lead end-to-end discovery and validation across a portfolio of new initiatives, engaging directly with customers, agencies, and prospects to uncover unmet needs and rigorously test solution hypotheses before scaling investment.
  • Make disciplined prioritization decisions across multiple bets, balancing ambition with scope control, and ensuring focus on initiatives with clear commercial potential.
  • Translate validated opportunities into differentiated, AI-enabled products that automate and scale marketing transformation and execution work.
  • Drive execution through a dedicated cross-functional squad while coordinating closely with platform teams to leverage shared capabilities.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Design, and Product Marketing to prioritize and balance short-term priorities and longer-term strategic needs.
  • Manage and collaborate with stakeholders in Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales to ensure alignment across the full customer journey.
  • Act as the product lead for this emerging domain, bringing clarity, momentum, and structured decision-making to ambiguous problem spaces.
  • Raise the bar on product craft within the group by modeling strong discovery practices, sharp problem framing, and outcome-driven execution.
  • Contribute to a PM culture that shares user insights, learnings, and research findings early, often, and well.

What you need to be successful?

  • Experience as a Principal or Group Product Manager in a B2B SaaS environment, with a proven track record of building and launching new products from concept through revenue impact.
  • Demonstrated success leading 0→1 initiatives in ambiguous environments, including opportunity identification, customer discovery, validation, launch, and measurable commercial outcomes.
  • Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to map broad opportunity landscapes, assess competitive dynamics, and translate insights into focused, actionable roadmaps.
  • Hands-on experience working on AI-enabled, automation-driven, or workflow-centric products.
  • Clear commercial acumen, including experience shaping packaging, pricing, positioning, or revenue strategy in partnership with go-to-market teams.
  • Technical fluency sufficient to partner credibly with engineering and platform teams.
  • A track record of driving initiatives end-to-end with strong ownership, operating independently, and pushing work forward without waiting for direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and align stakeholders across teams without formal authority.
  • Strong communication skills and executive presence.
  • You combine ambition with discipline – willing to pursue bold opportunities while managing scope.
  • Experience in marketing technology, agency workflows, content operations, SEO, performance marketing, or related domains is a strong plus.
