Job Purpose
The Jr Quality Technician performs acceptance inspections of raw material, components, tooling, fixtures, and assemblies to documented inspection plans using various metrology. This position is responsible to adhere to and promote the company documented Quality Management System procedures and policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspections in accordance to the inspection plans or instructions
- Legibly records the inspection results
- Mechanical measurements using metrology such as micrometers, calipers, height gage, drop gage, optical comparator and CMM
- Visual inspection using microscope
- Identify, segregate, and report non‑conformances discovered
- Preparation of final source inspection documentation
- Preparation of First Article Inspection documentation
- Maintains a neat and organized workspace
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience as an inspector preferred
- OpenDMIS CMM software preferred
- GD&T certification preferred
