The Editor, Commercial Content & Partnerships is responsible for defining and delivering customer‑driven content propositions that support commercial growth across the World Business Media portfolio. This role sits within the commercial organisation and is separate from Reuters’ independent newsroom.

You will own content strategy, messaging and execution for commercially sponsored content, events, interviews and multimedia initiatives, working directly with customers and partners to create high‑quality, market‑relevant content that delivers value for both audiences and clients. This hybrid role will be based in London.

As Editor, Commercial Content & Partnerships, you will set the strategic direction for customer‑facing content across written, video and event‑based formats. You will translate customer objectives and audience insight into clear positioning, compelling storytelling and scalable content products. You will manage and guide Content Editors and contributors, ensuring consistent quality, messaging and execution across the portfolio. This role works closely with customers, commercial leadership, marketing, production teams and external partners, acting as the senior content lead for commercial activity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Strategy & Customer Focus: Establish content strategy based on defined customer personas and decision‑maker journeys within the global (re)insurance market. Define customer‑facing positioning statements and messaging frameworks for key audience segments. Ensure content propositions are clearly differentiated and commercially relevant.
  • Commercial Content Leadership: Own the development and delivery of sponsored content, thought leadership, partner interviews and client‑led narratives. Shape content plans that support commercial campaigns, partnerships and long‑term client relationships. Ensure consistency of tone, format and quality across all commercial content outputs.
  • Sales Enablement & Proposition Development: Build and maintain sales enablement tools and content assets to support pitching and client conversations. Work with the Commercial Director and sales teams to package content propositions for customers. Support pre‑sales and post‑sales activity by articulating content value and execution plans.
  • Content Planning & Execution: Oversee planning and delivery of long‑form content (reports, features, documentaries, special projects). Oversee short‑form content (interviews, video clips, panel highlights, editorial‑style explainers). Ensure content is effectively repurposed across digital platforms, video, and events.
  • Customer & Partner Engagement: Work directly with customers to shape interviews, event appearances and content participation. Build strong relationships with senior industry figures and partners. Attend, host and chair events, roundtables and customer‑facing sessions where required.
  • Cross‑functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, production, video and events teams to deliver integrated commercial programmes. Coordinate market research and audience insight to identify new commercial content opportunities. Act as the senior content point of contact within the commercial team.

You are a commercially minded content leader who is comfortable working directly with customers and shaping content in a client‑led environment. You understand how to balance audience value with commercial objectives without operating as independent newsroom journalism.

Requirements:
  • Significant experience creating customer‑driven or sponsored content.
  • Strong understanding of content strategy, messaging and proposition development.
  • Experience working with commercial teams, clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills across written and video formats.
  • Confidence hosting interviews, panels and live events.
  • Ability to translate complex industry topics into clear, engaging insight.
  • Strong organisational skills and comfort operating in a fast‑paced commercial environment.

The deadline for submissions is Sunday, May 17th 2026.
