Join us as a Software Engineering Intern within 3DMODSIM & AI Technologies, where the 3DMODSIM Boolean team develops core topological operations in the geometric modeling kernel that underpins manufacturing and simulation applications of the 3DExperience platform, including SolidWorks xDesign, CATIA and SIMULIA. You will become part of an international team contributing to the development of next-generation technologies for fluid dynamics simulations. This is a 6-month internship, starting approximately in September 2026 and is based at the Dassault Systèmes office in Cambridge.

Responsibilities

  • Develop advanced technologies for automatic preparation of geometry inputs for fluid dynamics simulations
  • Improve geometrical models to optimize mesh quality and simulation performance without affecting simulation fidelity
  • Work on algorithms related to model boolean operations, extrusion, intersection, and projection
  • Identify and reduce low-quality or unnecessarily dense mesh areas that negatively impact simulation speed and accuracy
  • Contribute to core technologies used in manufacturing and simulation platforms

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field
  • Strong programming skills in C++
  • Solid background in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving orientation
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, international team environment
