Job Description

Visa Europe is scaling AI as a core driver of profitable growth, scalable delivery, and higher-quality client impact.

This role owns both sides of that transformation: identifying and delivering high-value AI use cases end to end, and driving the adoption, capability building, and behavior change needed to make AI-enabled ways of working stick across Visa Europe's business clusters.

You'll be the bridge between opportunity, execution, and organizational adoption - accountable not just for shipping AI solutions, but for ensuring they're genuinely used, valued, and embedded into how teams work.

Reporting to the Head of AI Transformation within the Visa Europe CEO Office, this role is instrumental in executing the Visa Europe AI strategy, connecting top-down strategic direction with bottom-up execution and adoption.

Responsibilities

AI Opportunity Identification & Business Case Development

Identify and size AI opportunities across Visa Europe clusters and functions through structured business engagement, value pool mapping, and stakeholder workshops.

Build robust business cases and secure funding and sponsor approval through the appropriate route (CTO office, business sponsor, or CFO office), tailoring the pitch to each governance body.

Connect each AI opportunity to Visa Europe's broader strategic objectives: profitable growth, scalable delivery, higher-quality client impact, workflow standardization, and decoupling revenue growth from FTE growth.

  • End-to-End Delivery & Build vs Buy
  • Own delivery of AI use cases end to end — from requirements through to production deployment — with full accountability for the outcome.
  • Lead the Build vs Buy assessment for each use case, evaluating technical feasibility, vendor capability, total cost of ownership, and time‑to‑value, then manage the chosen delivery path to completion.
  • Work with data science and ML engineers, managing them to defined milestones and value targets.
  • Monitor deployed solutions and manage model performance, iteration, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Change Strategy, Narrative & Leadership Enablement
  • Develop and lead the change strategy for each AI use case, translating the opportunity and its impact into a compelling, simple, and actionable story for different audiences — from frontline teams to senior leadership.
  • Partner with leadership to consistently reinforce the transformation message through Visa Europe forums.
  • Help managers embed AI adoption into team routines, project reviews, onboarding, coaching, and performance discussions.
  • Adoption, Reinforcement & Behavior Change
  • Own the adoption strategy for each AI solution, moving beyond deployment into sustained behavior change — using champions networks, office hours, nudges, peer coaching, demos, and recognition.
  • Establish feedback loops across clusters to identify adoption barriers, usability issues, and opportunities to refine solutions and enablement materials.
  • Contribute to and help scale the AI Champions network — sharing tools, AI agents, and learnings across Visa Europe business clusters to accelerate peer‑led adoption.
  • Value Measurement & Governance
  • Measure and communicate value delivered — usage, proficiency, productivity, quality, and business impact — to senior leadership and the AI Steering Committee.
  • Build governance routines to review adoption progress, unblock friction points, and adjust rollout plans based on data and feedback.
  • Create executive‑ready dashboards and recommendations showing progress against delivery, adoption, and business impact goals.
  • Emerging Capabilities & Continuous Improvement
  • Stay current on emerging AI capabilities and identify new use cases relevant to Visa Europe's strategic priorities.
  • Ensure the change management approach for AI evolves as capabilities, workflows, and roles mature.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
