We are looking for a talented Team Leader - IV to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in York, SC.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a safety-first culture: Proactively identify and eliminate hazards, enforce PPE and HSE compliance, and model “stop work” authority to protect the team and reduce incidents.
  • Ensure consistent product quality: Rigorously apply standard work, SPC, and poka-yoke methods, quickly escalate issues, and manage non-conforming materials to minimize defects and cost exposure.
  • Meet and exceed production targets: Plan and assign work effectively, monitor output in real time, and adjust resources to consistently hit volume, cost, waste, and schedule goals.
  • Act as the first responder on the floor: Quickly troubleshoot equipment issues, parts shortages, and quality concerns to minimize downtime and keep production flowing.
  • Strengthen cross-functional coordination: Communicate clearly across shifts and with support teams (maintenance, supply chain, quality) to maintain alignment and avoid delays.
  • Develop and elevate team capability: Coach, mentor, and ensure proper training documentation so every team member performs to standard and grows in skill and accountability.
  • Optimize workforce planning: Support headcount and overtime decisions to balance productivity with efficiency and cost control.
  • Champion continuous improvement: Actively identify process, safety, and material flow improvements while engaging the team in building a culture of ownership and innovation.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

  • Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience recommended.
