What You’ll Do
As a Cable Hand, you’ll:
- Support Site Supervisors, Electricians and Jointers with site electrical installations
- Assist with lighting and power, cable tray/ladder, cable installation and switchgear installation
- Carry out installation of LV and HV cabling using cable rig, trailer and winch methods
- Carry out earthing installations where required
- Support HV teams on larger site installations and assist with site breakdowns and investigations
- Work safely, take care of company property and project a professional image to clients and colleagues
- Champion Powersystems’ PriorityNo.1 Health, Safety and Wellbeing, professionalism and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For – Cable Hand
- JIB-approved ECS card
- Full UK Driving Licence & Right to Work in the UK
- Experience of working on construction sites
- Experience working on commercial and industrial installations
- Ability to work proactively on your own or as part of a team
- Experience of working within the electrical power sector desirable
- Strong communication, attention to detail and a flexible, can-do approach
