As an HV Substation Fitter, you’ll support the installation, assembly and testing of high‑voltage equipment across renewable energy and infrastructure project sites.

Responsibilities:
  • Assembling and testing high‑voltage equipment, including outdoor substations up to 132 kV
  • Carrying out inspections, ductor testing and quality checks to support compliance and project standards
  • Providing guidance and support to less experienced team members
  • Assisting other members of the HV Installation team where it is safe and appropriate to do so
  • Representing Powersystems professionally on site while upholding our core principles: Priority No.1 – Health, Safety and Wellbeing, Professionalism, Pride, Partnership and Proactivity
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years’ experience working as a Mechanical Fitter
  • Practical experience with oxygen and propane brazing, as well as exothermic welding
  • Experience working on new installation high‑voltage switchgear would be advantageous
  • Good knowledge of BS7671 regulations would be beneficial
  • Experience supporting, coaching or mentoring less experienced colleagues
  • A full UK driving licence
  • The right to work in the UK
