About the team: At Bauer, we see podcasts as multi-platform digital media brands. We value entertainment and creativity, working with celebrity talent to bring audiences their favourite series week after week. We believe podcasts should be 360: we’re on your social feeds, on your listening platforms and on your TV. We work with the biggest brands and commercial partners to make this happen. Job purpose: Reporting to the Social Media Lead, you’ll be responsible for forward planning, content creation, working on our podcast shoots, looking after our content calendar and posting on our social platforms. This role will also lead on our incoming sports podcasts, so a knowledge and interest in sports is essential. Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities Working closely with Social Media lead to plan content and help with day-to-day running of social accounts and deputise for them on occasion. Working across all of the podcast social channels, leading on specific projects. Monitoring and analysing social media trends, audience behaviours, and platform updates to keep our social media presence current and effective. Examining existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that can innovate and improve our social media output Collaborating across Bauer network, working with the wider team on larger initiatives and projects Assisting on podcast shoots and content days – including music events, presenter shoots and high-profile guest interviews. Job Requirements: An experienced social media professional with a track record of producing content that is optimised for different social platforms. Excellent knowledge of all social media platforms and experience in planning and scheduling content across them. Knowledge and a keen interest in sports and sports podcasts Ability to design social thumbnails and graphics using Adobe Photoshop. Confident social copywriter who can write in different ones of voice Creative thinking, and ability to quickly adapt to changing trends and audience needs. Experience working with analytics tools to track performance and inform content decisions. Comfortable shooting and filming content on mobile, as well as confident in directing and briefing presenters, guests, and other team members where necessary; and editing this content on Adobe Premier Pro or similar. Proactivity and project management skills – we’re a rapidly growing team, so you need to be able to keep the plates spinning! We’re looking for someone who is organised, can meet deadlines and lead on multiple social campaigns at once. Flexibility to work out of hours occasionally – understanding that social media is reactive and time-sensitive.
