About the Role – Senior Ride Advisor
We’re looking for a Senior Ride Advisor to join our Norwich store and help lead the customer experience on the shop floor. This isn’t your average retail role—it’s about building lasting relationships through friendly, pressure-free service and expert advice that helps riders find the perfect setup in their own time.
You’ll work alongside two younger Ride Advisors who bring plenty of energy and enthusiasm. Your role will be to guide, mentor, and lead by example—creating a retail environment that reflects the heart of the Power2Cycle brand: welcoming, knowledgeable, and built on trust.
At Power2Cycle, we take the long view. We don’t push people to buy—we help them discover. Every experience is a seed for a second, third, or fourth bike down the line, or a glowing recommendation to friends and family. You’ll be measured and rewarded not just by the number of bikes sold, but by the quality of service you deliver and the smiles you leave behind.
•Deliver friendly, expert advice across bikes, gear, and accessories
•Guide customers through their decision-making without pressure
•Lead and mentor junior Ride Advisors, helping them grow in confidence and skill
•Support store presentation, merchandising, and brand storytelling ️
•Handle more complex sales or customer queries with care and clarity
•Liaise with the workshop team to ensure smooth service handovers
•Contribute to local events, demo days, or ride outs when possible
What We’re Looking For
•Proven experience in bike retail, cycling sales, or a related customer-facing role
•Confident, calm communicator who loves helping people find the right solution
•A team player who leads by example and enjoys mentoring others
•Passion for bikes and cycling culture—across road, gravel, e-bikes, or MTB
•Strong product knowledge, or a willingness to learn quickly
•Reliable, organised, and comfortable with till systems or retail software
•Experience fitting bikes or using bike sizing tools
•Knowledge of brands we work with (Trek, Bosch, Fox, etc.)
•Involvement in the local riding community or events
•Familiarity with finance offerings, accessories, and performance gear
What You’ll Get
•A key role in a growing, ambitious business
•A chance to shape the retail team and customer experience
•Performance bonuses based on sales combined with customer service ratings (we reward 4 & 5-star reviews as much as results)
•Access to training and supplier product sessions
•Regular team rides, events, and great coffee on hand
•A career path, not just a shop job
Be Part of the Ride
If you’re a bike-savvy individual who thrives on connection, trust, and creating experiences people remember—we’d love to hear from you. You’ll have the hunger to succeed, but the wisdom to play the long game. At Power2Cycle, we’re not here to force the sale—we’re here to build riders for life.
