Role Description This is a contract, on-site Electrician role based in North East. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical components associated with solar panel systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, and related equipment. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings and electrical schematics, performing diagnostics and troubleshooting electrical issues, and ensuring installations comply with safety codes and local regulations. The role involves conducting routine inspections, testing equipment to verify performance, documenting work performed, and collaborating with installers and engineers on project planning and execution. The Electrician will also maintain a clean, safe work environment and use appropriate tools and protective equipment at all times.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong practical skills in Electricity and Electrical Work for solar panel installations and related systems.
- Candidates should possess Maintenance & Repair skills to service, inspect, and upgrade electrical components and equipment.
- Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills to diagnose faults, identify root causes, and implement safe, effective solutions.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Electrical Engineering to interpret technical documents and support system design.
- Relevant qualifications such as an electrical apprenticeship, vocational certification, or equivalent experience, with current electrical licenses or certifications where required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of local electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices, including experience working at heights and with rooftop installations.
- Ability to use electrical testing tools and equipment, follow written and verbal instructions, and maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability in on-site work, and capacity to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
