Working Hours: 37 hours Monday to Friday
Hybrid Working: We currently operate a hybrid working policy with a mix of working from the office and home.
About the Role:
The Assistant Accountant position sits within the Power NI Customer Solutions Business unit and reports to an Accountant within the Financial Reporting & Control Team (within the Power NI Finance Team). The ideal candidate will have strong basic accounts skills, including:
- Completion of a wide range of P&L and BS reconciliations, including variance analysis.
- Extraction and analysis of data from our billing system.
- Cash flow analysis & forecasting.
- Assistance in Accounts Payable processes, including invoice and purchase order approvals.
- Production of cost centre reports & variance analysis.
- Assistance in internal & external audits.
- Ad-hoc analysis as required.
Experience of using an accounting package in previous roles is essential, along with demonstrable experience in the proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Accounting Technician qualification and/or partial professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Experience using SAP and Workday.
