Power Naturally is looking for an organised, commercially minded and confident person to join our sales team.

This is more than a traditional sales administration position.

You will play a central role in managing new enquiries, coordinating quotations, maintaining our sales pipeline and making sure customers receive timely and professional follow-up.

As your technical knowledge and experience develop, you will also qualify new opportunities and manage selected smaller projects through the sales process from initial enquiry to order.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong sales support, customer service or administration experience who would like to develop a career in technical sales and renewable energy.

About Power Naturally

Power Naturally designs and installs integrated renewable-energy systems for homeowners, builders and architects across the South of England. Our projects include:

  • Air source and ground source heat pumps
  • Solar PV and battery storage
  • Mechanical ventilation and heat recovery
  • Air conditioning
  • EV charging
  • Integrated energy and heating systems

Our projects range from individual technologies through to complete renewable-energy packages for substantial new-build and renovation projects.

The role

You will help manage the sales process from the point a new enquiry is received through to quotation, follow-up and order. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the sales inbox and responding promptly to new enquiries.
  • Creating and maintaining accurate customer, site and opportunity records within Simpro.
  • Contacting new leads by telephone to understand their project, requirements, timescale and available information.
  • Requesting plans, photographs, energy information and other details required to progress an enquiry.
  • Identifying whether an opportunity is suitable for Power Naturally.
  • Preparing quotation documents using approved design, scope and pricing information.
  • Checking quotations, customer information, inclusions, exclusions, payment terms and attachments before issue.
  • Recording when quotations are sent and keeping follow-up actions scheduled.
  • Reviewing opportunities that have become delayed, inactive or gone quiet.
  • Contacting customers to establish their current position, likely decision timescale and next steps.
  • Reactivating suitable opportunities and returning significant projects to the appropriate salesperson.
  • Managing selected smaller or more straightforward opportunities through to acceptance. Preparing, submitting and monitoring DNO applications.
  • Liaising with Sales, Estimating, Design and Projects to keep opportunities moving.
  • Making sure accepted projects are handed over with complete and accurate information.

What we're looking for

You combine strong organisation and attention to detail with the confidence to speak to customers.

You take responsibility for actions, follow up consistently and make sure important information is recorded accurately.

You should have

  • Experience in sales administration, sales support, customer service, internal sales or a similar role.
  • A confident and professional telephone manner.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple enquiries, deadlines and follow-up actions. Experience using CRM, job-management or customer-management systems.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office.
  • A commercially aware and customer-focused approach.
  • The confidence to ask questions and obtain the information needed to progress an opportunity.
  • An interest in developing your knowledge of renewable technologies and technical sales.

Experience in renewable energy, heating, plumbing, electrical products, construction, property, home improvements or another technical sector would be helpful, but it is not essential.

Full training will be provided on our systems, products and sales process.

What we offer

  • £28,000 - £31,000 per year, depending on experience, plus performance bonus
  • Full-time, 39 hours per week
  • Office-based in Ferndown, Dorset
  • A structured introduction to renewable-energy technologies
  • Training and support from experienced sales, design and technical colleagues
  • The opportunity to manage your own smaller sales opportunities
  • A clear development route into a more senior sales coordination or technical sales role
  • Free on-site parking

During your initial months, the focus will be on learning our systems, managing sales administration accurately and understanding how our projects are developed.

As your experience grows, you will become increasingly involved in qualifying new customer enquiries, following up quotations and managing straightforward projects through to order.

The role provides a clear route into an internal or technical sales position.
