Flutter Entertainment’s Internal Audit function is a Group‑wide team responsible for delivering the annual internal audit plan, promoting effective internal controls and risk management. This role is part of a global team of over 30 auditors and seeks a senior auditor to contribute to our risk assurance capabilities while developing specialized audit skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver internal audit engagements to a high standard, meeting deadlines, following Global Internal Audit Standards (GIAS 2024) and internal methodology, and using audit management tools to drive efficiency.
- Assess control design and operating effectiveness, applying data analytics and CAATs to extract actionable insights and ensure findings are well‑evidenced.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis, consolidate findings into systemic issues, and validate that management actions address identified risks through to closure.
- Build positive relationships with internal partners, maintaining clear and proactive communication with senior team members on progress, risks, and emerging issues.
- Supply continuous improvement across audit methodology, technology, and team capability.
- Occasional international travel may be required.
How You’ll Do It
- Strong project and time‑management skills, able to handle concurrent audits from initiation to delivery, raising issues appropriately and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adapting style to suit varying audiences and producing clear, well‑structured audit reports.
- Design and implement risk‑based audit programmes, identifying and evaluating weaknesses in governance, processes and controls.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships across the business.
- Embrace a continuous‑improvement outlook, suggesting efficiencies proactively.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field, with a minimum of two years of experience in accounting, finance or audit roles.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. ACA, CPA, ACCA, CIA).
- Strong understanding of internal controls, including design, implementation and operating effectiveness.
- Experience executing audit fieldwork within a Big 4 firm, internal audit function or a highly regulated environment such as the gambling sector is advantageous.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and CAATs is a distinct advantage.
