About Power IQ
Power IQ is one of Northern Ireland's fastest-growing solar energy companies, delivering high-performance solar PV and battery storage systems to homes and businesses across Northern Ireland. With demand continuing to grow, we're looking for an experienced and driven Field Sales Representative to join our expanding team.
The Role
You'll attend pre-qualified appointments with homeowners who have already expressed an interest in solar, meaning no cold calling, door knocking or self-generation. Your role will be to assess the customer's property and energy requirements, design a suitable solar PV and battery system, present the proposal and close the sale. You'll be provided with a company car and fuel card for travel to appointments across Northern Ireland.
What You'll Be Doing
- Attend pre-qualified customer appointments and carry out on-site surveys
- Assess roof condition, orientation, shading and customer energy usage
- Use solar design software to create tailored PV and battery storage systems
- Present proposals and clearly explain system benefits, savings and ROI
- Recommend the most suitable solution for each customer
- Handle questions and objections confidently and professionally
- Convert appointments into confirmed installations
- Follow up on proposals and maintain accurate records within our CRM
- Work in line with relevant MCS and RECC requirements
What We're Looking For
- Proven sales experience, ideally within solar, renewable energy or high-value customer-facing sales
- Strong closing, negotiation and objection-handling skills
- Confident with face-to-face customer appointments
- Self-motivated, target-driven and results focused
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable using CRM systems and digital sales tools
- Genuine interest in renewable energy
- Full UK driving licence
- Solar experience is highly desirable, but we also welcome applications from strong field sales professionals within home improvements, energy or other high-value consultative sales environments.
