POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is currently seeking a Mid-Level Drafter to work in the Power Delivery Underground Line Department in our Hailey, ID or Boise, ID office.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with underground transmission line engineers and drafters to create construction drawings including plan, profile, detail drawings, cover sheet, and notes.
- Perform quality assurance checks on construction drawings.
- Collaborate in both in-person meetings and virtual conference calls.
- Organize projects and their subsequent files and documents in ProjectWise.
- Field visits and coordination with contractors and clients.
Required Education/Experience
- Associate degree in drafting (or equivalent technical degree).
- Strong experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation.
- Experience with drawing creation for Power Delivery (transmission, substation, distribution).
Desired Education/Experience
- 3 or more years drafting experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of survey coordinate systems.
- Experience interpreting surveys.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong written and oral communications skills.
