Position: Entry-Level Civil/Structural Engineer (Overhead Transmission Lines)

Job Summary: POWER Engineers, a member of WSP, is seeking an Entry-Level Civil/Structural Engineer to work in its Power Delivery Overhead Transmission Line Department in Birmingham, Alabama. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of transmission line design, including new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions.

Required Education/Experience

  • BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) from an accredited university
  • Strong command of English with good written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite

Desired Education/Experience

  • Minimum GPA of 2.75
  • Coursework in structural analysis, concrete and steel design, soil mechanics, foundation design, surveying
  • Previous engineering design or drafting experience, especially in civil/structural engineering
  • Engineer In Training (EIT) registration preferred
