Working as part of Power Electrics' Technical Support Team, you will provide engineering support across our UK depot network and customer sites.

Supporting multiple depots, you will act as a point of technical escalation, assisting engineers with fault diagnostics, commissioning, repairs, engineering upgrades and specialist customer requirements.

Working alongside the wider Technical Support Team, you will support major projects, technical training, engineering upgrades and continued development of our modern rental fleet, including stage V equipment.

  • Provide technical support to Power Electrics depots and customers
  • Diagnose and resolve generator and electrical faults.
  • Carryout commissioning, repairs, upgrades and modifications to rental equipment, including Stage V generators.
  • Attend customer sites to provide technical support, commissioning and site surveys.
  • Support technical training and mentoring to engineers and customers.
  • Support major projects, product introductions and technical investigations.
  • Work from Power Electrics depots when not attending customer sites.
  • Comply with Company Health & Safety
  • OR to have served/completed an approved apprenticeship in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. An Electrical Bias is preferred
  • OR proven experience servicing and repairing generator sets predominantly FG Wilson, Cummins etc - ESSENTIAL
  • Possess good fault-finding abilities and strong communication skills
  • Previous experience of working in a Field Service/Technical environment advantageous
  • Understanding of LV distribution, changeover systems etc.
  • Full Driving Licence ESSENTIAL
  • Good customer awareness with the ability to respond to customers' requirements effectively & efficiently
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Holder of ECS Card preferred but not essential as training can be given
