This is an excellent entry level opportunity to work with the largest privately owned generator specialist in the UK. You will support the Yard Foreman and the Rental team ensuring all goods in & out are processed in a timely manner whilst also maintaining high standards of housekeeping in the yard. Although this is mainly a depot-based role, you may have to attend customer sites occasionally.
Key Responsibilities- Provide general assistance in the yard and workshop, including loading and offloading equipment.
- Ensuring both inbound and outbound vehicles are loaded with the correct equipment and in a timely manner.
- Work autonomously to ensure general housekeeping is kept inline with company QHES policies and procedures.
- Drive forklift in yard as required, once training has been given.
- Obtain hours and fuel levels of all generators returned by customers or Power Electrics own transport.
- Document & report damaged equipment to the yard Foreman.
- Assist in overall upkeep and appearance of the depot’s Rental fleet.
- When required, drive company vehicles to collect/deliver parts and any essential equipment, once training has been given.
- Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy, including carrying out general housekeeping to ensure work areas are tidy.
- Comply with all aspect of the company ISO 9001:2015 procedures, proactively contributing to the company’s continuous improvement programme.
- Driving Licence
- Previous experience of working in a workshop/warehouse environment
- Holder of CSCS / NPORS card (Desirable)
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Have a flexible approach to work as the needs of the business dictate.
