Power Bolting Systems Limited is looking for an experienced Hydraulic Service Engineer / Workshop Supervisor to join our team.

This is a hands-on role combining hydraulic engineering with responsibility for the day-to-day running and organisation of our workshop.

We’re looking for someone who is technically capable, organised and confident taking ownership of workshop activities, while working closely with our General Manager and Administrator to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Service, repair and calibration of controlled bolting and hydraulic equipment
  • Fault finding, diagnosis and repair
  • Overseeing day-to-day workshop workload and priorities
  • Maintenance and management of hire and sale stock
  • Preparing and mobilising equipment for hire
  • Goods-in and goods-out
  • Ensuring workshop procedures, documentation and quality standards are followed
  • Supporting and supervising workshop personnel
  • Maintaining a safe, organised and efficient workshop
  • Working closely with the wider team to ensure customer requirements and deadlines are met

About you

We’re looking for someone with strong mechanical/hydraulic engineering experience who is comfortable taking responsibility and making sure jobs get done properly.

Previous experience with controlled bolting equipment, hydraulic torque equipment, tensioning equipment or a similar specialist engineering environment would be a strong advantage.

Previous supervisory experience would also be beneficial, although we would consider an experienced senior engineer who is ready to take the next step into workshop supervision.

Location: Cramlington

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Full-time, permanent
