Shift Pattern:
- 4 days on / 4 days off → then 4 nights
- Day shifts: 6:00am – 6:00pm / Night shifts: 6:00pm – 6:00am
Rate: £17.35 per hour (PAYE) + 15% shift allowance
General Overview
You will work alongside a dynamic maintenance team to deliver essential services, ensuring the hospital environment is maintained to the highest possible standard. This role supports the Leeds Oncology Wing and requires a customer-focused, highly responsive approach to maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, including days and nights
- Deliver a customer-facing, responsive maintenance service
- Carry out a wide range of reactive and planned maintenance tasks to a high standard
- Provide technical guidance and support to other members of the maintenance team
- Undertake training to enable Authorised Person (AP) duties
- Work with a high level of multi-skilling and flexibility
- Manage a small shift team consisting of Maintenance Craftsmen and Maintenance Assistants
Technical Requirements
The successful candidate must be able to maintain, service, and repair a wide range of building services, including:
- Heating and domestic water services
- General electrical services (lighting and power)
- Air Handling Units (AHUs)
- Low-voltage electrical distribution systems and switchgear
- Emergency standby generators
- Fire alarm systems and emergency lighting
- Electrical control systems
