About the Role: We are seeking experienced OLEC 3 Linesmen to join our rail projects in Scotland. You will play a key role in the safe and efficient delivery of overhead line electrification (OLE) systems, ensuring installations comply with client requirements and national standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of OLE.
- Safely handle overhead line equipment and inspect OLE components.
- Ensure adherence to rail safety standards, protocols, and the Safe System of Work (SSOW).
- Read diagrams and instructions to troubleshoot on-site issues.
- Collaborate with construction teams to resolve challenges efficiently.
- Maintain high-quality standards and conduct thorough inspections to prevent defects.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other rail personnel, providing clear updates on work progress.
- Lead/Mentor OLEC 2 colleagues where required.
Requirements:
- Valid OLEC 3 certification.
- Valid PTS (Personal Track Safety) certificate.
- Strong understanding of OLE processes, procedures, and safety compliance.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently, maintaining a high standard of quality and safety.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable:
- Machine Operator competence.
- First Aid.
