About the Role: We are seeking an experienced OLE Supervisor to join our rail projects in Scotland. You will be responsible for supervising overhead line (OLE) works on the railway, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution of projects while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage day to day OLE operations on-site.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure work progresses according to plan.
  • Monitor compliance with health, safety, and industry regulations.
  • Lead and guide OLE operatives, providing clear instructions and support.
  • Inspect work quality and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Allocate resources effectively (materials, tools, labour) and track usage.
  • Maintain accurate records of work progress, including daily reports and incident logs.
  • Identify and resolve on-site challenges, collaborating with stakeholders as needed.
  • Implement emergency response procedures when required.
  • Actively oversee installation works to verify compliance with approved designs and standards, and drive timely completion of all assurance documentation.
  • Take ownership of monitoring installation activities for full compliance and ensure all assurance paperwork is completed accurately and submitted without delay.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience supervising OLE works in the rail sector.
  • Relevant rail certifications (e.g., PTS, OLEC 1 – 3).
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on safety and quality.

Desirable:

  • SSSTS, SMSTS.
  • COSS.
  • First Aid Certification.
