Senior Authorised Person (33kV) in Dundee

Senior Authorised Person (33kV) We’re currently looking for an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) up to 33kV to support ongoing works across the Scotland (Dundee & North) area. Location: Scotland (Dundee & North) Rate: £600 per day Duration: Approx. 6 months (starting March 2026) – with potential follow-on work Hours: Monday to Friday The Role You’ll be acting as the Senior Authorised Person on LV/HV distribution networks up to and including 33kV, ensuring all works are carried out safely and in line with DNO and company safety rules. Key duties will include: * Carrying out and overseeing HV switching, isolation, earthing and restoration activities * Issuing, receiving and cancelling safety documentation (PTWs, SFTs) * Liaising with DNO Control to plan outages and manage faults * Leading site teams and ensuring safe systems of work are followed * Producing switching schedules, RAMS and associated documentation * Supporting fault response, emergency situations and network restoration Requirements * Proven experience working on LV/HV distribution networks up to 33kV * Strong background in HV switching, safety documentation and fault management * Good understanding of electrical safety rules and network diagrams * Confident communicator with the ability to lead teams on site * High level of safety awareness and decision-making skills Qualifications * Current SSE Senior Authorised Person authorisation up to and including 33kV (essential) * Full UK driving licence * First Aid, manual handling and relevant safety training If you’re an experienced SAP looking for a long-term contract with strong day rates and potential ongoing work, we’d like to hear from you
