Due to a number of recent contract awards, Power & Infrastructure Resourcing are looking to recruit experienced Crane Controllers for nationwide projects.

Start dates – March onwards. Regular weekend work, with opportunities leading into midweek shifts. Competitive rates of pay (TBD).

Role Overview

As a Crane Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring safe operations during crane and lifting activities within the rail environment. Your primary responsibility will be to establish and maintain a safe system of work (SSOW) during lifting operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and oversee the Safe System of Work (SSOW) for crane operations
  • Collaborate closely with machine operators, COSS, and site supervisors
  • Control lifting operations in line with rail safety standards
  • Ensure loads are securely attached and safely lifted
  • Monitor lifting activities and ensure safe removal of loads
  • Maintain compliance with Sentinel and Network Rail standards

Requirements

  • Valid COSS (essential)
  • Crane Controller competency (Sentinel)
  • Strong understanding of rail lifting operations
  • Experience working within rail infrastructure
  • Ability to work regular weekends
  • Safety-focused and reliable
