Due to a number of recent contract awards, Power & Infrastructure Resourcing are looking to recruit experienced Crane Controllers for nationwide projects.
Start dates – March onwards. Regular weekend work, with opportunities leading into midweek shifts. Competitive rates of pay (TBD).
Role Overview
As a Crane Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring safe operations during crane and lifting activities within the rail environment. Your primary responsibility will be to establish and maintain a safe system of work (SSOW) during lifting operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and oversee the Safe System of Work (SSOW) for crane operations
- Collaborate closely with machine operators, COSS, and site supervisors
- Control lifting operations in line with rail safety standards
- Ensure loads are securely attached and safely lifted
- Monitor lifting activities and ensure safe removal of loads
- Maintain compliance with Sentinel and Network Rail standards
Requirements
- Valid COSS (essential)
- Crane Controller competency (Sentinel)
- Strong understanding of rail lifting operations
- Experience working within rail infrastructure
- Ability to work regular weekends
