Role Overview
Weβre looking for an experienced Mechanical Craftsperson to support the maintenance of a large NHS estate, ensuring all mechanical services are maintained to a high standard and in line with statutory requirements.
The role involves planned and reactive maintenance across a hospital environment and working closely with engineering teams and site stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical PPM and reactive maintenance works
- Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical plant and equipment
- Ensure works are completed in line with KPIs and health & safety requirements
- Update job records using a CAFM system (e.g. Maximo)
- Work independently and manage assigned tasks effectively
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment
- Support wider engineering teams where required
Requirements
- Mechanical maintenance experience (hospital or facilities environment preferred)
- Ability to work from drawings and specifications
- Good understanding of health & safety and statutory compliance
- Willingness to work towards AP / CP duties if required
- Comfortable working in sensitive hospital areas
