Powells Jewellery is a fast-growing family run jewellers with two shops based in Chester city centre. We specialise in exquisite vintage, antique and fine jewellery from all over the world, always focusing on quality, luxury and something that’s just that bit different!

We have a fantastic team of jewellery enthusiasts and an exciting opportunity to welcome another individual as a Sales Consultant. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for jewellery and everything related, someone who is determined to give the best possible customer experience they can and has excellent attention to detail. We love to encourage our colleagues to grow and advance their career, with many different areas in our company there is always room to develop!

In this job role you will be pivotal to the day-to-day running of the shop, working closely as a team with an entrepreneurial spirit in a friendly environment, always with our values in mind. The list of specific responsibilities is endless but here are some of the main ones:

  • Delivering high quality sales.
  • Booking in and giving out of repairs.
  • Stock handling and booking in.
  • Ensuring the shop is always clean and tidy.
  • Handling website sales, bookings and enquiries.
  • Assisting with administration duties as required.

Specific Knowledge, Expertise & Qualification:

  • Jewellery retail experience preferable but not essential.
  • Efficient using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Any jewellery qualifications such as JET, GIA AJP or higher would be advantageous.

Our Recruitment Process:

CV and cover letter required on application. We hold an initial round of in-person interviews, following that should you be successful we will invite you to do a trial half day in the shops (DBS check required before this).
