The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.
The role includes but is not limited to:
- Receipt and initial review of contract file, liaising with Project Manager, Estimating/Commercial and Procurement Teams.
- Support in the review of the contract file with the 3rd Party Supplier and Procurement, ensuring that the client requirements are understood by all parties and can be met technically and commercially. Advise any technical/commercial issues to the Project Manager.
- Participate in design reviews with specific responsibility for the technical execution of the 3rd Party Packages.
- Ensure 3rd party and client documentation, both incoming and outgoing, is issued as required, on time and within allocated time allowed for within the purchase order.
- Perform thorough checking of all produced information, both incoming and outgoing, prior to issue. Documentation from the 3rd party supplier that is passed to the client is timely and checked as accurate and compliant to the client specification.
- Support and assist Project Manager and allocated Engineering resource by providing Technical assistance on all aspects of 3rd Party Package and client requirements and liaison where required, with the Client, Design & Development, Procurement, Operations, and other departments as necessary.
- Create a scope of work and commercial overview of 3rd Party Package contract and liaison with Project Manager, identify any changes in work scope and identify the Project Manager.
- Coordination of integrated design works as required (such as cable schedules).
- Responsible for ensuring 3rd Party Supplier adherence to client specification, standards, legislation, regulatory requirements and for providing client authorised solutions.
- Support the coordination and undertake where necessary of project and client required progress meetings, inspections, factory, and site acceptance testing on and off site and the satisfactory close out of open issues that may arise.
- Travel to 3rd party locations to build, support and maintain relationships and if required, to assist in the resolution of general issues with suppliers/contractors’ performance.
- Apply company products, standards, procedures, and design guides to customer requirements.
- Responsible for delivering projects with on time delivery in accordance with the master schedule of all phases of a project.
- Responsible for delivering projects within assigned hourly budgets.
- Ensure quality processes and checklists are performed, as appropriate, for engineering packages. Overall aim to achieve engineering quality objectives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Management.
Experience and Qualifications:
- HNC Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience within a complex packaged solution switchgear environment.
- Electrical package substations.
- The integration of some/all the above into an overall package.
- BS 7671: ) Requirements for Electrical Installations.
Desirable:
- UPS/DC charger systems.
- Power transformers.
- Bus-ducts.
- Ring main units.
