To support the Team Leader in the daily operations within the Fabrication department to ensure the on-time delivery of parts to our internal customers.
The machine operator will specialise in one area of the fabrication department, made up of Laser, Punch (Turret), Press Brakes, Pemming and Sub Assembly / Kitting.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment
- Work to company Health & Safety policy / procedures
- Meet agreed delivery targets
- Support overall factory scheduling needs
- Bring known problems to the Team Leader\'s attention and suggest business improvements
- Operate fabrication equipment (after training), primarily the Laser Cutting machine
- Assist in other aspects of the fabrication area
- Operate the ERP system (after training)
- Select correct stock when required
- Complete weekly maintenance checklist for machines
- Participate in stock-taking activities
