In this role, you will support the delivery of civil engineering design activities for rail infrastructure projects, working as part of multidisciplinary project teams and developing your technical capability within a supportive engineering environment.
You will contribute to the preparation of engineering deliverables, including calculations, drawings, reports and technical documentation, while supporting the development and implementation of practical engineering solutions.**Role accountabilities:****In this role, you will:*** Support the delivery of civil engineering design activities for rail infrastructure projects.* Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications, reports and other technical documentation.* Work collaboratively with engineers, technicians and multidisciplinary project teams.* Support investigations, technical analysis and the resolution of engineering challenges.* Contribute to the integration of civil engineering design within wider project solutions.* Deliver assigned tasks in line with project requirements, quality standards, budgets and timescales.* Undertake checking of work in progress to ensure accuracy and alignment with design intent.* Build knowledge of Arcadis systems, engineering standards and relevant codes of practice.* Continue professional development through training, mentoring and project experience.**Qualifications & Experience:*** BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng, or equivalent, in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.* Previous relevant civil engineering experience would be advantageous.* Ability to prepare technical calculations, drawings and documentation.* Interest in rail infrastructure and multidisciplinary engineering design.* Good analytical, communication and teamwork skills.* Experience with relevant engineering or design software would be beneficial.* Working towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status, or equivalent professional accreditation, would be desirable.
