We currently have a vacancy for an experienced water engineer in our Climate Adaptation Design & Engineering team. The role is based in the UK, with flexible location options and hybrid working arrangements.
The UK Climate Adaptation Design & Engineering group works on projects in the water environment with agencies such as the Environment Agency, Network Rail, Canal & River Trust and Natural Resources Wales, as well as regulated water companies. Services are delivered through a network of offices across the UK and by co-locating with clients and partners.
Role accountabilities:
- Design, construction and/or maintenance of reservoir, canal, river or coastal engineering or flood defence works.
- Reservoir engineering.
- Hydraulic design of reservoir outlet structures or river engineering.
- Scour assessments and design of mitigation measures.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a similar discipline.
- Chartered Engineer or commitment to working towards Chartered or Incorporated Engineer professional status.
- Design or construction related experience within the UK Civil Engineering sector.
- Good interpersonal skills and effective communication.
- Self‑motivation and adaptability to evolving project challenges.
- Knowledge and experience of BIM‑led design and Civils 3D.
- A desire to mentor and develop graduate engineers.
